Call to Action!

Last week the Australian Parliament debated and voted on the Defence, Veterans’ and Families’ Acute Support Package Bill 2022. Our Federal Parliamentary Patron Hon Michael McCormack MP, spoke in support of the Bill and the work being done in the region to support veterans and their families. Pro Patria Centre and the team, committee and board members, all volunteers ,were mentioned by name.

Pro Patria Centre is a locally-led, community effort and there are many behind the scenes contributing to the work, meeting the needs of veterans, first responders and their families.

How are we doing this? So far everything we have achieved has been powered by volunteers and private philanthropic donations, with some small special purpose grants.

Call to action!

The Pro Patria Property Trust  (PPPT)  has been established to raise funds and purchase the Carmelite Monastery to house the Pro Patria Centre. The Trust is a not for profit registered charity that will own & manage the property. The property is being offered at a substantially reduced real estate price & is part of a life long mission of the Carmelites to support our veterans and first responders.  The Trust will ensure the facility is locally owned, managed and dedicated to treatment services. The Trust is seeking donations to secure the purchase. There are a number of ways to make donations and receive recognition. Please contact the Trust to find out more about naming rites for sections, rooms or property sites. All donations are tax deductible. The Trust also supports fundraising events and ways that you can get our message to the community, your organisation, your friends and family.
