Unboxed with Wellways

Wellways  Murrumbidgee’s newest program to support men in our community.

Wellways’ new program is called ‘Unboxed’ and will look to support men in our community at risk of ill mental health or who are at risk of suicide.

Unboxed looks to support men who have historically found it difficult to engage or connect with formal mental health supports within their community. Unboxed will also look to give men an opportunity to come together in a safe group environment which will support learning, foster resilience, and build connections with other men with a lived or living experience of ill mental health.

The Men’s Suicide Prevention Program – Unboxed will work across the Murrumbidgee region with dedicated Peer Workers situated in Wagga Wagga and Griffith offices and will support men across the Murrumbidgee. The referral process is aimed to reduce the barriers relating to receiving support. Becoming involved in Unboxed will be as simple as men or people in the community providing consent and contact details. Referrals can come from friends, family, teammates, mates, or any other person that is involved in the man’s life.
