4000 local people support PPC Open Day

What a fantastic day! The Open Day at the Pro Patria Centre drew an enthusiastic crowd of over 4000 people helped by live coverage on Triple M Radio. Sister Maria, former Riverina MP Kay Hull and Mayor of Wagga City Council Dallas Tout delivered inspiring speeches, emphasising the significance of grassroots initiatives in uniting communities to tackle complex issues.

The centre's revival was met with a host of engaging activities for attendees. Gardening Australia's beloved host, Costa Georgiadis, rolled up his sleeves and offered expert advice while distributing seed packs to children in the brand-new community garden. The Historic Car Show and Shine captivated visitors, and the Wagga Mens Rugby Men's Choir and the talented musicians of the Kapooka Army Band provided lively entertainment throughout the day. For the adventurous, Riverina Cranes offered an exhilarating ride that provided a breathtaking view of the site.

Amidst the festivities, the public had the opportunity to learn about breakthrough medical services making their way to the region. Prominent displays included All in Health, specialising in functional medicine and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, Monarch Mental Health Group, offering innovative psychiatric treatments like EsKetamine therapy, Southern Cross Pain Clinic, catering to DVA patients with medicinal cannabis, and the Bionics Institute, inviting individuals to participate in clinical trials for new tinnitus testing and treatments.

The event not only showcased the progress and development of the Pro Patria Centre but also allowed Wagga to meet the dedicated team working behind the scenes to bring this remarkable initiative to life. The day served as an inspiring and informative experience, enlightening the community about the centre's mission and encouraging active engagement.

The region can now witness the positive impact of initiatives like the Pro Patria Centre, uniting communities, fostering meaningful connections, and paving the way for groundbreaking advancements in various fields.
