Pitch Perfect: Live crowdfunding to deliver thousands of dollars to local community organisations

Three local non-profit organisations will have the chance to share an estimated $60,000 in Wagga Wagga’s inaugural live-crowdfunding event.

“Pitch Up Wagga Wagga,” will bring the life-changing work of the event’s finalists to the forefront- highlighting the support they give to community members in need.

An audience of more than 100 is expected to turn out to hear Bloss Riverina, Pro Patria Centre and Carevan Wagga Wagga Inc, try to deliver the perfect pitch.

In return, the audience, made up of community-minded people and organisations interested in contributing their money to organisations focused on social change, will make their pledges via a live crowdfunding format, facilitated by The Funding Network (TFN).

Renowned for running these unique events across the country, it will be just the      first time TFN has delivered one in regional New South Wales.

Partnering with TFN for the event is WDF Accounting + Advisory, Hume Bank and Macarthur Real Estate Agency.

WDF Director Andrea Bradley said opportunities like this are vital for the sustainability of community groups.

“This event will help these important groups continue      the work they do at a grassroots level,      and assist them with future growth,” she said

Hume Bank CEO Stephen Capello agreed saying it is fantastic to be able to support an event which gives back to local organisations that do so much for our community.

“Each of these finalists have such a positive impact in their own unique way,” he said, “Hume Bank is thrilled to partner with the other sponsors, to ensure these organisations can continue the work they do.”

The trio of finalists, who were selected by an independent panel, will also have access to professional coaching to build their skills capacity in pitching their mission.

“All three finalists have put forward very worthwhile and exciting projects, and we hope the community will show its support by purchasing a ticket, to what will be a great night,” Macarthur Real Estate Agency Director Mark Macarthur said.

The event will be held at the Murrumbidgee Turf Club, Wagga Wagga on Thursday, 30 March 2023.
