VETERANS ADVOCACY AND EXPERT LEGAL ADVICE

For current and former Veterans and their families trying to navigate “Transitional Management” from the ADF into the DVA compensation system, you know how complex and difficult it can be. Especially when you rely on DVA and ComSuper (MSBS or DFRDB) to support you and your family going into civvy street. Veterans are told by DVA and well-meaning mates to “go to advocates” and potentially have to make decisions or accept advice that are likely to have serious financial consequences and implications for them and their families. Most advocates have no formal legal qualifications as opposed to DVA who use in-house and external lawyers to fight claims.

Advocates are now charging veterans “up front” to lodge claims or take a percentage of a lump sum payments without providing any other service such as reviewing outstanding claims, appealing to or going beyond the VRB.

Instead of paying advocates for a “service”, you could contact lawyer Greg Isolani, Partner of KCI Lawyers who has specialised in Military compensation since 1992, who provides more than a "No Win – No Fee" legal service*. KCI lawyers do not request money "up front or progressively to assist you to navigate your way out of the ADF and through the DVA scheme.

KCI Lawyers also offer a “Veterans’ Legal and Advocacy Service” with expertise from Kristie Watson, an experienced Advocate who previously worked with the VVPA, Veteran Centre Australia and 2 Commando Regiment assisting SF soldiers transitioning from the ADF and through DVA and ComSuper system.
